Computer Charging

Many students have been coming to school with a computer that is not charged.  Please remind your student that Chromebooks must be charged at home before coming to school each day. Thank you for helping remind your student of this important task!



Fall Harvest Costume Celebration


Our first celebration of the year is right around the corner! Our fall harvest costume celebration will be on Friday October 29 from 12:30pm-1:45pm.


There will be a costume parade around the track for all families to attend (no volunteer form required) at 3:15pm on Friday October 29.

Costumes can be worn all day (no gore or weapons). We ask that anything that may be distracting to the school environment be saved for home celebrations.

Students must wear masks along with their costume (not costume masks alone).

We are currently in need of a few items for our celebration on October 29. What we are learning this week:

Math:  We will continue our study of fractions.

ELA: We will focus on stating the main idea and finding supporting details in a text.

Writing: We will continue developing our narrative.

Science: We will continue our unit on the study of sound.

Social Studies:  We will begin our unit on geography of the United States.

Mon. 10/18 - No School

Tues. 10/19 - Donuts with my Main Character at 7:45am on the school playground (see details in Mrs. Bawks' blog)

Wed. 10/20 - Late Start (school begins at 9:20am) and Music make-up day

Wed. 10/27 - Late Start (school begins at 9:20am)

Fri. 10/29 - Fall Celebration (parade at 3:15pm)

Wed. 11/3 - Late Start (school begins at 9:20am) and PE make-up day

Wed. 11/10 - Late Start (school begins at 9:20am) and Art make-up day

Thur. 11/11 - 1/2 Day of school (school dismisses at 12:09pm)

Fri. 11/12 - 1/2 Day of school (school dismisses at 12:09pm)

Last Blog! - Week of June 6-10

     It's hard to believe this is our last classroom blog post for the school year! Thank you SO much for sharing your students with me this year; I hope you have an amazing summer! I've included some awesome summer learning opportunities below including a full 12 week Virtual Summer Adventure Camp with access to choice boards and 120 e-books. Lastly, I'll be sharing a letter with the class on Wednesday that I wrote to them.   Bucks For Brown Our Bucks for Brown Fundraiser continues through this week! Don't forget to send in those orange donation forms!! Thank you so much for supporting Brown School; please send in the orange sheet along with donations in order for your child to receive a special bracelet.   (If donations were made online you may just send in the orange sheet and mark the donated online box).
