Thank you to all of our volunteers that made our classroom celebrations a success! We appreciate the time and the effort you put in to make it fun for the students.


Picture Retakes

Picture retakes will be Monday, November 1, 2021.  


Student Council

Student council elections will be held Tuesday, November 2nd.


Honor Credit Union

Honor Credit Union will hold interviews for volunteer tellers on Wednesday, November 3rd.  Training will begin Monday, November 8th.


Computer Charging

Many students have been coming to school with a computer that is not charged.  Please remind your student that Chromebooks must be charged at home before coming to school.

Homework reminder

Homework each week consists of reading 20+ minutes at home (this can be a library book, magazine, newspaper, online book, etc) and practicing multiplication and division facts 1 through 12. Mastering multiplication and division facts is vital to our learning this year.

What we are learning this week:

Math:  We will continue our study of equivalent fractions.

ELA: We will focus on visualizing and making inferences when reading texts.

Writing:  We will continue developing our narrative.

Science:  We will complete our unit on the study of sound.

Social Studies:  We will continue our unit on geography of the United States.

P2: We will study perspective.  Perspective is defined as “you appreciate that people do things in different ways.  You have the ability to understand the world from multiple points of view.

Thurs. 11/11-Half day (school dismisses at 12:09 p.m.)

Fri. 11/12-Half day (school dismisses at 12:09 p.m.)

Tues. 11/16 - Thanksgiving Luncheon during lunch

Wed. 11/17-Late Start (school begins at 9:20 am) and P.E. make-up day

Fri. 11/19-Half Day (school dismisses at 12:09 p.m.)  end of 1st trimester

Nov. 24-Nov. 26-Thanksgiving Break-No School

Last Blog! - Week of June 6-10

     It's hard to believe this is our last classroom blog post for the school year! Thank you SO much for sharing your students with me this year; I hope you have an amazing summer! I've included some awesome summer learning opportunities below including a full 12 week Virtual Summer Adventure Camp with access to choice boards and 120 e-books. Lastly, I'll be sharing a letter with the class on Wednesday that I wrote to them.   Bucks For Brown Our Bucks for Brown Fundraiser continues through this week! Don't forget to send in those orange donation forms!! Thank you so much for supporting Brown School; please send in the orange sheet along with donations in order for your child to receive a special bracelet.   (If donations were made online you may just send in the orange sheet and mark the donated online box).
