      Upcoming Classroom Project I have partnered with Berrien County Animal Control (BCAC) to work on a project to help them get some of their long time resident dogs and cats adopted while also having our 4th grade class practice their writing skills! Each student will be assigned an adoptable pet and will create an original art piece depicting the adoptable animal and then will use what they've been learning during our writing lessons this year to create a written bio. BCAC will hang their art piece and writing on the animals kennel at the shelter and will also be featuring them on their social media outlets to get the word out about these amazing animals. Here is where I could use some help. If you have paint (watercolor, washable, etc), paint brushes, oil pastels, colored pencils, etc. we are in need of some to create our art projects.      Spirit Week We will enjoy spirit week next week with dress up days.  Participation is optional and clothing choices must be school appropriate.   Tuesday 5/3:  PJ Day Wednesday 5/4: Pattern Day Thursday 5/5: Inside Out/Mismatch Day Friday 5/6 : St. Joe Spirit Day NWEA and M-STEP Testing Here are some things you can do to help your child prepare for testing: -Ensure that your child gets a good night's rest before testing. -Make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast on the morning of the testing day. -Help your child remain positive and calm. S taying calm and encouraging during this testing window will help your child stay calm.
